The GAC GS5 impressed me from the start. For the price, you're getting great value. The tech is modern, the seats are comfortable, and the fuel efficiency has been consistent. I use it mostly for commutes and weekend family rides, and it handles both tasks effortlessly.

Really impressed by the performance of maintenance costs

The cabin layout makes everything feel intuitive. I never had to dig through the manual. It's not the quickest car off the line, but it makes up for that with comfort and practicality. Fuel economy is reasonable, but I’d recommend getting a service package — parts can be expensive.

The styling is modern, and it comes packed with features for the price. But, the engine lacks oomph, and the ride can be noisy on highways. Also, interior materials feel a bit cheap, and overall, it’s a decent choice but not without its flaws.

Comfort is nice with a spacious interior and well-designed seats. Maintenance is easy, and parts are reasonably priced. The highway ride is smooth, though city streets can be a bit bumpy. For everyday driving, it’s practical and dependable.

What caught me by surprise wasn’t the price or design — it was how well it performs on bumpy roads. Brakes are responsive and predictable, which matters a lot in stop-start traffic. Steering is light but not loose — I feel in control at all times. It’s not a sports car, but it doesn’t need to be.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly SUV with plenty of room, it’s worth considering. Offers a lot of space and features for the price. It’s quite comfortable and has a decent ride, but it doesn’t have the same level of refinement or brand prestige as some competitors.
