Fake GR GT Leak Shows How Real AI Images Look Now

0 53

A realistic GR GT leak fooled fans online last week. The images spread across social media before anyone realized they were fake. Just before Toyota’s official debut of the GR GT supercar, a series of photos purportedly showing the full vehicle surfaced.

Many believed the images were real, but they were rendered using artificial intelligence.

AI Images Spread Like a Real Leak

The viral photos looked like screenshots of a car under bright skies. Angles and reflections made them appear authentic. Some viewers saw the rear shot and felt sure they were looking at the real GR GT. However, several details didn’t match Toyota’s official teaser.

The front bumper’s air vents and proportions were off. The timing added to the confusion. The images hit the internet just one day before Toyota’s official GR GT reveal.

A YouTube Video Sparked the Confusion

YouTuber Evren Ozgun Spy Sketch posted a video inspired by Toyota’s recent teaser ad. Although the video clearly said it was unofficial, someone took screenshots and shared them across social media as “leaked” images.

This caused the GR GT leak to go viral fast. The AI-generated design had strong lighting, decent proportions, and believable body lines. Still, sharp eyes caught the mistakes. The car had wrong-side vents, odd door handles, and a rear badge that said “Toyota” instead of “GR.”

Toyota officially revealed the GR GT supercar, the GR GT3, and the updated Lexus LFA on December 4. This new model will act as a spiritual successor to the 2000 GT and the Lexus LFA. Click here to learn more about these three new additions to Toyota’s lineup.

Conclusion

The fake GR GT leak shows how AI-generated images can now fool even experienced car fans. On December 4, Toyota officially announced the GR GT supercar, the GR GT3, and the upgraded Lexus LFA.
