1,270 EV Charging Stations Now Active in Dubai – Is Your Area Covered?

Each station features two parking spots and a charging capacity of 22 kW per port. That means faster, more efficient charging, perfect for residents looking to top up while at home. The placement of these stations helps solve a key issue: limited charging access in dense communities.

In a move to simplify the process, Parkin’s app now allows users to pay for parking and EV charging in one step. The app’s digital wallet means no juggling between systems, just plug in and go. This seamless payment method is a game-changer for daily EV users. It also supports the larger vision of smart city living, where convenience and sustainability go hand in hand.

Building a Greener, Smarter Dubai

These efforts fall under the Dubai Green Mobility Strategy 2030 and the Dubai Social Agenda 33. Both aim to cut down carbon emissions and make city life healthier and more sustainable. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, DEWA’s CEO, says the collaboration enhances Dubai’s EV infrastructure. 

It’s a clear sign that the city is serious about becoming a global leader in clean mobility. Parkin’s CEO, Eng. Mohamed Al Ali says integrating EV charging stations into their network is a key step forward. It will improve operations and encourage more people to switch to electric cars.

What’s Next for EV Charging in Dubai?

Right now, DEWA operates around 740 public charging stations. But by the end of 2025, that number will hit 1,000. And that doesn’t even count private chargers in malls, offices, or villas. The total of 1,270 includes new installations happening now, especially in residential zones.
