The Opel Astra is an honest compact. It’s nimble, parks easily, and has a nicely balanced chassis for casual spirited driving. I’ve done regular servicing and it hasn’t given me issues. Not fast, not flashy, but very dependable for daily life.

As someone who commutes 100+ km daily, this car had to prove itself early — and it did. Brakes are responsive and predictable, which matters a lot in stop-start traffic. Steering is light but not loose — I feel in control at all times. It’s not a sports car, but it doesn’t need to be.

Suzuki SX4 is a compact wonder. It fits into any parking spot, sips fuel, and drives light and easy. I got it for short commutes and it’s been more than adequate. It’s basic inside, but everything works and that’s all I need.
