My Insignia is the "long-haul specialist." It’s a 5-star "aerodynamic glider" that makes highway miles disappear. The 2.0L diesel is a 5-star "torque monster" and returns a fantastic 18.0 km/l on the open road. The tech is a 4-star "solid" but not as flashy as the newer SUVs. This is my "VIP shuttle" for the office. The 5-star "lounge seating" for 9 people makes everyone feel like a boss. The 2.0L diesel is 4-star "capable" even when full, and I average 11.5 km/l. It’s a 5-star "space miracle," although city parking is a 1-star "stress test." For large groups, it’s a 5-star "premium van" that drives with much more 4-star grace than you’d expect.

This new Grandland is a "bold departure" from the old ones. The 5-star interior with the 16-inch screen is stunning, and the AGR seats are a 5-star "back-saver" on my long commutes. I average 14.2 km/l. It’s a 4-star "luxury alternative" that feels much more expensive than it is. While the 1.6L engine is the only choice, its 5-star "refined ride" makes it a top-tier mid-size contender.

The Crossland is my "sensible suburban cruiser." It’s a 4-star "utility player" with a sliding rear seat that’s a 5-star genius for balancing groceries and legroom. The 110-hp engine is 3-star "adequate" and gives me 14.8 km/l. It’s not a car you buy for "soul," but as a 4-star "easy-to-live-with" crossover, it’s hard to beat for a stress-free daily school run.

My Corsa is the "German city-slicker" I’ve always wanted. The 1.2L turbo is a 4-star "zippy" engine, and I’m consistently hitting 15.5 km/l. The 5-star "bold styling" makes it stand out in the sea of boring hatchbacks. While the back seat is a 2-star "tight squeeze" for adults, the front tech and matrix LED lights make it feel like a 5-star premium car in a tiny, parkable package.

The Opel Astra is an honest compact. It’s nimble, parks easily, and has a nicely balanced chassis for casual spirited driving. I’ve done regular servicing and it hasn’t given me issues. Not fast, not flashy, but very dependable for daily life.

I’ve owned the Astra for years, and it’s a fantastic little hatchback. It’s fuel-efficient, easy to park, and has been very reliable. The interior is simple but well-designed, and it’s great for city driving or small family needs.
