RTA Opens First Phase of Massive Hessa Street Overhaul: Latest Updates

Doubling the Road Capacity

The core mission is to double the traffic capacity of this crucial east-west corridor to accommodate Dubai’s rapid urban growth. Currently, the project has reached an impressive 90% completion rate, with final touches scheduled for mid-2026. This expansion increases the road’s throughput from 8,000 vehicles per hour to 16,000 in both directions.
