The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced new measures to launch an intercity Bus service, Route E308, between Dubai and Sharjah, starting May 2, 2025.
These measures have been taken to address traffic congestion and make local transportation more accessible.
Route E308 connects the Stadium Bus Station to the Al Jubail Bus Station for just Dh12 as a one-way fare.
Adel Shakeri’s Statement on New Bus Service
Adel Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), stated regarding the Bus service, “Enhancing connectivity is central to positioning public transport as the preferred choice for mobility around the Emirates.”
He added, “The RTA is committed to enhancing the public bus service network and improving integration with services like metro, tram, and marine transportation.”
New Bus Service Modifications By RTA
On May 2, 2025, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will introduce several Bus service modifications to provide passengers with smoother, more efficient, and more comfortable transportation.
These modifications include:
- Route 17: Terminates at the Baniyas Square Metro station, replacing the Al Sabkha bus station.
- Route 24: Re-routed within the Al Nadha 1 area for better coverage.
- Route 44: Transferred from Al Rebat Street to Dubai Festival City.
- Route 66 and 67: A new stop was added at Al Ruwayah Farm.
- Route 32C: The Bus service between Al Jafiliya Station and Al Satwa bus station has been ceased. Passengers are now advised to use Route F27 to reach Al Satwa.
- Route C26: The Bus stop has been transferred from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Max Metro Land Slide Bus Stop 2.
- Route E16: Now terminates at Union Bus Station instead of Al Sabkha Bus Station.
- Route F27: Bus stop relocated to Max Metro Land Slide Bus Stop 2.
- Route F47: Relocated within the Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
- Route F54: Extended to the new JAFZA South Labor Camp.
- Route X92: Bus stop transferred from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Max Metro Land Slide Bus Stop 1.
