The Lamborghini Revuelto SV Teaser Exposes the Future of V12 Hybrids
Lamborghini has teased the Revuelto SV ahead of its scheduled global unveiling tomorrow at Monterey Car Week. Purists argue that batteries add weight and blunt the character that made old-school Italian supercars special.
The Revuelto SV makes the opposite case: electrification can add performance without pushing the V12 into the background.
Hardcore Aerodynamics Define the Revuelto SV
Official teaser photos reveal a towering fixed rear wing and a newly sculpted carbon-fiber rear diffuser. Larger front openings and a sharper splitter give the SV a noticeably lower, more purposeful nose. Extended side sills appear to manage airflow more aggressively around the car’s flanks and cooling inlets.
Together, the changes make the SV look far more track-focused than the standard Revuelto.

Lamborghini factory and test driver Marco Mapelli recorded a 1:41:6 lap at Hockenheimring in the Revuelto SV. That puts the Revuelto SV 5.7 seconds ahead of the Aventador SVJ’s Hockenheim time. The two front motors can vary torque across the axle, giving the Revuelto stronger traction and sharper responses out of slower corners.
On Dubai Roads Soon?
UAE collectors are likely to move quickly once regional allocations become available. Once Middle East deliveries begin, it probably will not take long before a Revuelto SV appears on Sheikh Zayed Road. If reports of fewer than 2,000 cars prove accurate, UAE allocations could be particularly tight.
Dubai and Riyadh already have strong collector markets for limited-production, track-focused exotics.
Conclusion
The Revuelto has already shown that hybrid assistance does not have to come at the expense of V12 character. The Quail reveal will show just how far Lamborghini has pushed that formula beyond the standard Revuelto.
Electric motors fill in the low-end response while the naturally aspirated V12 is free to deliver its power at high revs. The Revuelto SV suggests electrification could help preserve the naturally aspirated supercar rather than replace it.
