At Gitex 2025, Dubai showed how AI is no longer just a concept. It’s powering real mobility upgrades across the city. From vehicle inspections to smart enforcement and delivery fleets, the shift feels immediate.

Locals, engineers, and transport officials all pointed to one clear thing: life on the road in Dubai is about to change.

AutoCheck 360 Cuts Inspection Time to Just 7 Minutes

One of the biggest innovations unveiled at Gitex 2025 was from the RTA. Their new platform, AutoCheck 360, drew serious attention. We watched cars pass through a 360-degree arch where 26 cameras captured over 40,000 images in seconds.

There were no mechanics with flashlights, no lifting platforms. Just sensors, lasers, and AI doing the job on the spot. The sensors instantly scanned body damage, tire condition, and emissions without the driver stepping out of the car. RTA staff said the system can process up to 7,500 vehicles a day.

Dubai Taxi to Add 500 Bikes and 500 Jobs by Year-End

At Gitex 2025, Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) made an announcement that’s set to transform the delivery industry. They signed a deal with Keeta, a local food delivery app, to add 500 new bikes to their fleet by the end of 2025.

Analysts expect this deal to create 500 new jobs in the delivery sector and improve services for residents. DTC’s CEO explained that the company designed this expansion to meet the growing demand for fast and reliable delivery services, especially as Dubai’s e-commerce sector booms.

One Keeta manager we spoke to said, “With more bikes on the road, we can make deliveries faster and cover more ground.” This growth is expected to generate over AED 10 million in revenue within the first year, reinforcing the growing importance of last-mile delivery solutions in the UAE.

AI Cars Will Scan for Residency Violators in Real Time

Another key reveal came from the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship. Their AI patrol car had people crowding around. This fully electric vehicle uses six high-resolution cameras to scan faces while driving.

If the system finds a match, it alerts the onboard officer instantly for verification. The manufacturer designed it for use across the UAE, even in heat or dust, with a driving range of 680 kilometres. Although it’s not fully autonomous, but supports faster, safer enforcement in the field.

Conclusion

Gitex 2025 didn’t just showcase tech. It showed how the city is applying it where it actually matters. Shorter wait times, smarter enforcement, and more delivery options are changes Dubai residents will feel by the end of this year.

These upgrades are tools that will make city life faster, safer, and more responsive. Share your thoughts with us in the comments below. Keep following the Arabwheels Blog for more real-world auto updates.
