Great news for drivers in Dubai! The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced free public parking across the city this Friday, June 27, in celebration of the Hijri New Year holiday. This is a welcome break for motorists who can enjoy the day without worrying about parking fees.
This offer excludes multi-level parking garages. Regular parking fees will resume on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Transport Services Timings
- Metro will operate from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM on Friday, June 27
- The tram will run from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM on the same date
Along with parking and transport updates, RTA has also adjusted its customer service operations:
RTA Services
- Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on Friday.
- However, the Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and the RTA Head Office will remain open 24/7, as usual.
- Vehicle testing centres and technical inspection services will also pause operations for the holiday, resuming regular hours on Saturday.
Public buses, marine transport, and other transit services will operate on adjusted schedules. The RTA recommends checking the S’hail or RTA Dubai app for real-time updates to avoid delays or confusion.
