Dubai’s Salik to Launch ‘Customized tags’ for Corporate Customers.
Dubai’s exclusive tollgate operator, Salik, is preparing to launch a new initiative for corporate customers. This will allow them to customise their Salik tags with distinct designs and messages.
Dubai’s Salik tag is an electronic sticker containing a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chip attached to your windshield. Each time your vehicle passes through the Salik toll gate, a toll payment is deducted from your prepaid Salik account. The tollgate varies from Dh6 on peak and DH4 off-peak hours.
Each vehicle should have its own Salik tag for easy manoeuvring through any Salik toll gates across Dubai, using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technologies. Salik means “Clear and moving” in Arabic, which supports their initiative to have an uninterrupted and smooth journey.
Salik is a single-user account with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Customers can add additional vehicles to the same existing account.
Salik’s statement on Salik Tags Launch
The company have announced the launch of this innovation, noting that the move is part of its broader commitment to the customer experience and embracing digital innovation.
On Tuesday, the company stated, “This initiative reflects Salik’s commitment to customer experience and embracing innovations.”
The customised tags are expected to appeal to fleet operators, delivery services, and large corporations. Offering them an opportunity to reinforce their brand on the move.
Agreement Between Salik and Enoc Groups
Additional innovation involves motorists using the balance in their Salik e-wallet to pay for fuel in certain petrol stations across Dubai. This was announced last week after the May 8 memorandum of understanding between Salik and the Enoc group was signed.
This agreement between Enoc Group and Salik will ensure smooth payments across all Enoc petrol stations in Dubai. No daily hassle of using cash or credit cards will save a fair amount of time. As of now, Salik’s e-wallet automatically deducts payment for daily parking in specific locations like Dubai Marine Mall, Dubai Mall, Dubai Harbour, Souq Al Bahr, and more.
This move is part of Salik’s broader strategy to provide tailored solutions to corporate clients and reflect its commitment to enhancing customer engagement through innovative services.
