4 New Dubai Bus Routes Target Major Commuter Bottlenecks From July 17

Optimizing your daily commute with the Dubai bus network is about to get much easier starting July 17, 2026. The RTA is launching 4 new routes and upgrading 13 existing paths across the emirate. This massive network overhaul directly addresses the growing demand from residential communities and major commercial hubs. 

Commuters can expect much tighter integration with the existing Dubai Metro and Metro Link networks.

Direct Links for Tech and Industrial Hubs

The primary focus of this expansion is to connect key residential nodes directly to major employment districts. Industrial workers and tech professionals will experience significantly reduced transit times during peak morning and evening hours. 

The authority designed these specific adjustments after analyzing thousands of daily commuter journeys and passenger demand patterns. These changes should immediately remove dozens of vehicles from the saturated commuter corridors.

Streamlining the Dubai Bus Metro Connections

To maximize efficiency, the transport authority is truncating several longer routes to feed directly into metro stations. Route 67 will now terminate at Oud Metha Station rather than continue all the way to Al Ghubaiba. 

This strategic change allows commuters to transition quickly to the Dubai Metro Green Line for faster travel. Meanwhile, Route 84 will now terminate at the InsuranceMarket Metro Bus Stop Landside instead of the crowded Mall of the Emirates.

Last-mile connectivity is also getting a substantial boost with several major revisions to the Metro Link routes. Route F06 extends its reach to Nadd Shamma, while Route F36 now serves Al Barsha South 2. Additionally, Route F47 will now provide direct transport to staff accommodation facilities in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area. 

These combined updates ensure that business park employees can easily access reliable transport close to their workplaces.
