Breaking: UAE’s First Electric Bike Edaddy X7 Launches This Summer

0 252

The UAE is about to mark a new chapter in electric mobility. In July, Edaddy will launch the Edaddy X7, the country’s first fully electric bike. Unlike traditional two-wheelers, the manufacturer built the X7 specifically for the UAE’s needs.

Local engineers develop and manufacture it, a first for electric motorcycles in the region.

What Makes the Edaddy X7 Stand Out?

The bike is designed to perform in harsh conditions, especially during summer. It includes a double-layer cooling system, which helps it operate even in temperatures close to 50 degrees Celsius. Safety is another focus. The X7 features a self-diagnostic system.

This means riders get real-time alerts if the bike detects a fault, reducing the chances of being stranded. Another detail worth noting is its suitability for short-distance urban travel. The X7 is compact and easy to maneuver, making it a practical choice for commuting or delivery services.

Manufactured in Dubai

Edaddy is a Dubai-based company with facilities in Dubai Industrial City and the National Industries Park. The X7 is their first major release. Recently, the company secured 15 million dollars in funding. That investment will support production, research, and expansion into other Gulf markets.

Plans also include possible entry into African cities where electric two-wheelers are in growing demand. This launch supports broader goals around sustainability. By introducing the Edaddy X7, the company aims to reduce emissions linked to urban transport.

Built for the UAE

The X7 is not a rebranded import. It is built for local infrastructure, road use, and climate. Its features were chosen based on how the bike will actually be used here. That includes the ability to handle high temperatures and stop-and-go city traffic.

While it’s being introduced as a local transport option, the X7 also serves as a test case. If successful, it could set the standard for other electric vehicles built in the region.

Edaddy X7 Expected Price in UAE

The Edaddy X7 is expected to cost between AED 12,000 and AED 18,000 in the UAE. This estimate reflects its positioning as an urban mobility solution for daily riders and delivery businesses. Local manufacturing helps reduce overall costs by avoiding import duties and shipping expenses.

The bike includes essential smart features without premium luxury components, keeping the pricing practical. Its battery and motor specifications match those of mid-range electric bikes currently sold in global markets.

Government incentives for EVs may further support competitive pricing in this segment. The pricing aims to balance affordability with performance for the UAE’s urban transportation needs.

Conclusion

The Edaddy X7 represents a new direction for two-wheeled travel in the UAE. Focusing on local needs, heat tolerance, and everyday usability, it offers a glimpse into what electric transport could look like here. For commuting or deliveries, the bike adds something new to the roads.
