Abu Dhabi Revises Darb and Parking Fees for Ramadan

0 37

Abu Dhabi Mobility recently announced a new parking fee schedule to help manage heavy Ramadan traffic. These adjustments aim to streamline urban mobility as work and school hours shift for the holy month.

By providing specific paid windows, the authorities help drivers find spaces more easily during the busiest times of day. This strategic update ensures that the city remains accessible for all residents throughout this special season.

Understanding the Split Mawaqif Schedule

Mawaqif public parking will follow a two-session daily routine from Monday through Saturday for the entire month. The first paid window runs from 9 am to 6 pm to cover the standard morning and afternoon business hours.

After a short Iftar break, the second paid session begins at 9 pm and runs until 2 am daily. Motorists will pay AED 2 per hour for standard spaces or AED 3 per hour for premium zones.

Free Parking and Toll Windows

Sundays remain completely free of charge to help residents enjoy their weekends without worrying about their parking fees. Outside the designated paid hours, drivers can also park at no cost during the late-night windows.

This structure enables smoother movement during evening prayers and family gatherings across the capital’s many districts. Planning your trips around these intervals can save you significant money on your monthly transportation budget.

How to Pay Your Road Fees

According to official figures from Q Mobility, there are several digital options for managing your daily road expenses. The integrated Darb app remains the most popular choice for managing both toll accounts and your parking fees.

Drivers can also use the TAMM digital platform or send a quick SMS to the 3009 service number. Physical payment machines located across the city are still available for those who prefer using cash or cards.

  • Digital Apps: Use the Darb or TAMM mobile applications for instant top-ups.
  • SMS Service: Send your plate details to 3009 to start a new session.
  • Physical Meters: Payment machines are found in all major commercial and residential areas.
  • Sunday Relief: No parking or toll charges apply on Sundays during Ramadan.

Conclusion

These changes to the city’s parking fees and toll timings reflect a smart approach to seasonal traffic management. By aligning the fees with Ramadan routines, the Integrated Transport Centre helps reduce overall congestion on key bridges.
