• Violators will receive 12 traffic black points on their driving license for this specific noise-related offense.
• Unauthorized engine or chassis modifications result in an additional 1,000 dirham fine for the vehicle owner.
• Making such modifications also adds another 12 traffic points to the record of the offending driver.
• This means a single stop could potentially result in a total of 24 points and a license suspension.

Strict Impoundment and Release Fees

The police force has clarified that financial fines are not the only tools being used to ensure road safety. Vehicles found with illegal modifications to amplify their sound will be immediately impounded for 30 days. 

To recover a seized car or bike, owners must navigate a costly and strict legal process:

• A release fee of 10,000 dirhams must be paid to reclaim any vehicle impounded for unauthorized changes.
• Any vehicle not claimed within three months and not paid for will be referred to public auction.
• These strict measures are designed to discourage young drivers from modifying their engines.
• Authorities are also monitoring family campsites and sandy outskirts where citizens most frequently report these disturbances.
