RTA to Revise Parking Tariffs in Busy Dubai Areas by the end of 2025

0 43

Dubai is ending 2025 by completing a full-scale revision of parking tariffs across 17 key urban zones. The Roads and Transport Authority, in coordination with Parkin, implemented the changes to improve parking availability and reduce congestion in high-demand districts.

The revised structure introduced new pricing tiers, time limits, and subscription plans. The aim was to create more predictable, fair, and demand-responsive parking options for residents and commuters.

New Tariff Categories and Subscription Packages

Parking fees now range from AED 2 for 30 minutes in certain locations to AED 36 for 24 hours in premium areas. Parkin designed this pricing structure to reflect the level of demand in each zone. For frequent users, Parkin launched updated subscription options:

  • Monthly packages starting at AED 300
  • Annual packages priced up to AED 4,040

In addition, new parking zones labeled W and WP were introduced. These categories apply different fees based on demand periods:

  • W Zones: AED 4 per hour, all day
  • WP Zones: AED 4 per hour off-peak, AED 6 per hour during peak hours

Free Parking and Worshipper Zones Retained

Despite the new tariffs, free parking remains in place on Sundays and public holidays in several locations. New mosque-adjacent zones marked MP and M will be activated, offering free parking during prayer times and reduced rates at other hours.

These additions aim to accommodate worshippers without impacting nearby residential or commercial parking access.

Where the New Parking Tariffs Apply

RTA applied the new and revised parking tariffs across a mix of residential, commercial, and mixed-use zones. Notable updates include:

  1. Al Sufouh 2 (Zone F): AED 2 per 30 mins, AED 4 per hour, AED 32 for 8–24 hours
  2. Mirdif (Zones 251C and 251D): Paid parking from 8 am–10 pm, Monday to Saturday
  3. Al Jaddaf: Similar peak and off-peak rates for side and surface parking
  4. Dubai Maritime City and Al Karama: New WP zones with variable pricing
  5. Gate Avenue-Al Khail (Zone 365N): 24-hour parking at AED 4 per hour or AED 30 daily cap

Additional areas include Dubai Studio City, Dubai Sports City, and Dubai International Academic City, with daily charges from AED 20 to 36. Monthly and annual packages in these districts aim to offer affordable solutions for regular users.
